Overview
For our inaugural ranked season, we partnered with Red Bull to create a themed event culminatin in a live championship event with real money prizes.
This set the stage for future ranked seasons, each featuring new themes, tasks, and rewards.

Ranked cards would get a makeover for different season themes and events. This was prime real estate for our sponsors, and doubled as an injection of movement and personality in the otherwise static UI.

As this was the first ranked season, a quick explanation overview helped users understand and get excited about the season ahead. These would then change every season depending on rewards, theming, and special conditions.
As a legal requirement, users are required to read Terms and Conditions. I had to find a way to condense a lot of legal jargon and text into an easy-to-understand solution.
On the left, users could track their progress in each task category at a glance, with an overall rank at the top.

Clicking "play" would immediately enter the user into the task, and "info" would open a popup with more information about the task. This 2-option system was designed as part of a product requirement that would get the user into the game sooner.

For our first implementation, we created an information hub where users could learn about our partner, Red Bull, and get a detailed overview of how the ranked system worked.
This hub was integrated with a "missions" system designed to motivate players to climb the ranks and engage with various aspects of the ranked season.
