Hi, I'm Cynthia!
I’m a multidisciplinary designer with roots in branding, illustration, marketing, and product design. I bring a systems-thinking mindset to creative work, pairing intuition with strategy, aesthetics with function, and big ideas with the constraints that actually ship things.
My marketing and product background help me think in both the “why’s,” and “how’s.” I care about the people using what I design, and the people building it too. Whether it's a product experience, a brand identity, or a weird side project, I aim to create work that's thoughtful, effective, and maybe even a little delightful.
People say I ask the good questions, bring a calm vibe in the chaos, and advocate hard for design that solves real problems without adding new ones. I try to live up to that. Good design solves problems. Great design does it with heart. I aim for both!
More about me!

I like to learn about languages & cultures
I've self-studied Japanese, Korean, and am a Spanish heritage speaker. I'm currently learning Mandarin Chinese.
Besides being able to understand more content (which means more inspiration!) I've been able to reference cultural context that has saved the team from committing taboos, or allowed us to lean into specific audiences. Woot!

I'm an avid gamer
Gaming is a huge source of my creative inspiration.
I could spend hours talking about my favorite games, the user experiences behind them, and the memories I've had playing with others.
P.S Yes, I still play Neopets! It is still alive and thriving!
I've lived all across the world!
I was born in New York City, but I've lived across the US, Germany, and finally ended up here in Canada.
These experiences allowed me to gain different perspectives and helped me overcome the challenges that come with designing for different audiences.
I love learning and going down rabbit holes
I often listen to podcasts, video essays, and documentaries about intriguing subjects and forgotten stories.
I strongly believe this actually makes people better designers; it fosters a great sense of intellectual humility.
